Ron Althoff and Fred Thomas were announced as recipents of the USATF Ohio Association Official Award. This award is given to the official who has helped create an atmoshere in which all athletes and USATF members can perfrm at their maximum potential. Ron and Fred are the first recipents of this award and have dedicated their track and field officiating career to this ideal.

2015 USATF Ohio Association Official of the Year was awarded to Duane Shaul by Karen Krsak, Awards Chair.
One of our association members put forth a proposal to create an award that would be created to recognize an outstanding official for the Ohio Association. The Ohio Association Awards Committee took the proposal, created criteria and an application for this award. The committee then took the proposal to the executive committee and general meeting in September of 2015 for discussion, changes and adoption of the proposal. Final changes were made and you can now find the criteria and application below.
Ohio Association Members, We want to give our members the recognition they deserve as they work hard to make our association one of the best in the country. Please take a few minutes to review the list for this year's awards and when you see them, please thank them for their service to the Ohio Association. At the 2014 USATF Annual Convention in Anaheim, Susan Randall of the Miami Valley Track Club was announced as the 2014 Female 40-44 Masters Race walker of the Year.
Mike Kempf, Master Level Official from Ohio received the National Officials Committee Chair Award for Outstanding Service at the annual Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet in Anaheim California during the USATF Annual Convention. During 2014 Mike worked the USATF Senior Championships in Sacramento, CA and the IAAF World Championships in Eugene, Oregon -- Mike also worked numerous NCAA meets throughout the Midwest and the South.
Congratulations to Paige Biglin, Ohio recipient of the 2014 USATF Regional Volunteer Recognition Award presented at this years Annual Convention in Anaheim California. This award is to recognize those volunteers within our Associations for their support of their organization. This past year Paige has been instrumental in bringing together a LDR Championship Series of road races. Those races were the Columbus 10K in June, the Flash 5K in August and the Churchill's Half Marathon in November. Thanks Paige for all of your hard work.
