MUT hosted the 100km Trail Championship on January 7. Stephanie Violett won the womens championship in 9:08:35 while Justin Ricks won the men’s title in 9:13:11. 
 
MUT will host two additional championships in February with the 100 mile Trail Championship on February 4th, and the 50km Trail Championship on February 18; selections for teams underway with another event (final auto select event) in the Trail Team selection on March 18 at the Chuckanut 50km.

2016 USATF 50 km Trail Championships

Muir Beach, CA | August 27, 2016

The 2016 USATF 50 km Trail Championships will take place August 27 in Muir Beach, California; the event is sold out. Athletes can, however, be placed on the registration wait list. Questions can be directed to Nancy Hobbs at trlrunner@aol.com.

Only USATF members and U.S. citizens are eligible to win the championship prize money of $5,000. For more information including the schedule and course map, please visit the USATF website.
 

   

2016 USATF 24-Hour Championships

The 2016 USATF 24-Hour Championships will take place September 17-18 in Cleveland, OH. Festivities will kick off Friday, September 16 with an optional pre-race dinner. Registration deadlines are as follows:

 
Late Summer Registration Dates: July 1, 12:00 a.m. to August 21, 11:59 p.m. ET Cost: $170.00 (+$8.50 processing fee)

Late Registration Dates: August 22, 12:00 a.m. to September 16, 11:59 p.m. ET. Cost: $185.00 (+$9.25 processing fee)

 

2016 USATF Half Marathon Trail Championships

Bellingham, WA | October 15, 2016

The 2016 USATF Half Marathon Trail Championships will take place October 15 in Bellingham, WA. This point-to-point race follows the Ridge Trail with an elevation of 2,500 feet. Each registrant is invited to the post-race meal and festival.

2016 USATF 50 Mile Road Championships

Registration is now open for the 2016 USATF 50 Mile Road Championships October 30 in Boalsburg, PA. Pre-race dinner and advance packet pickup will begin Saturday October 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please note that the expo, packet pickup and pre-race dinner are at a different location this year.

2016 USATF Marathon Trail Championships

Moab, UT | November 5-6, 2016

Moab, Utah will host the 2016 USATF Marathon Trail Championships for the third year this November 5-6. This event will sell out, so register now!

Registration fees include chip timing, race t-shirt, aid station access, post-event snacks, finishers' medals, awards for the top three male and female finishers in each race, trophies for top age group finishers, and a $3,500 cash purse shared between top marathon finishers.

April 26 ~ The Backside Trail Marathon and Trail Half Marathon

June 25 ~ Rhododendron Run 25K

  • The Rhododendron Run will take place at the Interstate Park, known as the "Grand Canyon of the South" in Breaks, Virginia.
  • Registration is now open until June 17 at 11:59PM.
  • The Rhododendron is included in the 2015 Trail Runner Trophy Series.
  • The Rhododendron Run 25k course map is now available on the race website at www.cloudsplitter100.com The course is a figure eight loop, about eight miles in length, which will be run two times. The course map will be updated in mid March and a GPX file will be provided which can be downloaded. The inaugural Rhododendron Run is part of the Trail Runner Trophy Series for 2015, and it is the second in the series of Cloudsplitter races taking place on Pine Mountain in Central Appalachia. The Catawba and Rosebay Rhododendron will be in full bloom when the race takes place at Breaks Interstate Park this coming June.

October 3 & 4 ~ Cloudsplitter 100 Mountain Trail Ultra (25K, 50K, 100K & 100 Mile)

  • The Cloudsplitter 100 will start and finish in Elkhorn City, Kentucky. Due to the total ascent on the 100 miler, a time limit has been set at 40 hours. The Cloudsplitter races are the USATF Kentucky Association Trail Championships for the four distances.
  • Registration is now open until September 27 at 12:00AM.

Bad Ass Slam of Ultra Running

The all new Bad Ass Slam of Ultrarunning is an award to recognize those who take on and conquer four of the most grueling 100 mile trail races on this side of the USA. Our intention is to create a slam that is so brutally tough that those who complete it will truly earn the title of Certified Bad Ass!" Continue reading. .  .
