2017 USATF OHIO ASSOCIATION OFFICIAL'S CLINIC

The 2017 Ohio Association Official's Clinic will be returning to the Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware Ohio on Sunday, January 29, 2017. This will be the sixth year at the Schimmel/Conrades Science Center, Building 14. The Clinic Topics and Clinicians are worth coming as details are finalized. As in the past, the clinic will start promptly at 9:00 a.m., with registration at 8:30.

This year we will be visiting the OWU Field House for on site demonstrations. We will also have a hands-on training session for those interested in getting involved with weights and measures.

If you haven't completed the required SafeSport requirement for recertification, we will be conducting a session just for you.

In addition, we will have lunch and our annual awards program. All this at no cost to you.

What to expect:

Throwing implements are needed. If you have one or two and will be attending please bring it.
 

USATF Officials Clinic ~ University of Cincinnati

University of Cincinnati in conjunction with the USATF Ohio Association will be conducting an official's on the UC Campus. clinic in Saturday, October 8, 2016, on campus.

Agenda would include presentation on rules and technic for working running and field events, SafeSport Course and Certification/Re-certification of officials for the new Olympiad.

2016 USATF OHIO ASSOCIATION OFFICIAL'S CLINIC

The 2016 Ohio Association Official's Clinic will be returning to the Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware Ohio on Sunday, January 31, 2016. We will be conducting a race walk certification training session for officials wishing to become a race walk official. This training session will be separate but in conjunction with the main clinic. Planning for this training is just starting but attendees to this years clinic that wish to become race walk officials will break away into an adjoining classroom for 1 to 2 hours with Barbara Hensley, Ohio Race Walk Chair. If you think you would be interested in attending the race walk training please send an email to either Barbara Hensley or Scott Rose

OFFICIALS' CLINIC PROGRAM REMINDER

If you are planning to attend or are still undecided, please check out this year's clinic program. Registration starts at 9:00 A.M, Sunday, January 20, with the first speakers starting at 9:30 and last until 5:00 P.M. There will be food, snacks, door prizes and our Annual Awards Program. For directions to Ohio Wesleyan University check out the OWU campus map. We are in Building 14 on the east side of the campus near the outdoor track and football field. One suggestion, dress warm just in case the building is cool.

2013 USATF OHIO CLINIC (DATE CHANGE)

It is our plan to reserve time at the end of the clinic to have a certifying and/or re-certifying session. If you know of anyone that maybe interested in becoming a USATF official, this clinic may be a great time for you to invite them to attend. Our certification chair, Len Krsak, will be on site to process the certifications. In addition, our membership chair, Brenda Martin, will be available to accept new memberships and renewals.

2012 USATF OHIO CLINIC

The 2012 USATF Ohio Association Clinic was conducted at a new facility this year. The Ohio Wesleyan University proved to be a great location with large classrooms and modern IT equipment. This year's agenda allowed smaller sessions to permit better inter action between the presenter and the attendees. See what you missed.


 

  • This is a free clinic for USATF and prospective officials. Check back for updates and additional information.
  • In addition, we will have the EDM available for hands on demonstration, door prizes and lunch. There is no cost to attend this clinic.

    Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with the the Clinic starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.

    2014 Official's Clinic Program The 2013 USATF Ohio Officials' Clinic at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio is taking shape with several new speakers. The clinic date has been set. It will be January 20 (Date has changed). We are always looking for addition presenters so if you are interested please contact either Scott Rose or Jeff Bauer. If you have a suggestion for a speaker, I am willing to ask them.

    The clinic will also be used to present awards of those deserving officials. This is always a special time when those officials that worked so hard the past year are recognized. Now that OHSAA and NCAA track seasons have come to an end, we would like to here of any situation that occurred so that we can use it as a topic of conversation during our "Situation" segment. Please forward them to either Scott Rose or Jeff Bauer.
